All three of our teams take a break from league action this weekend and embark on progression in their cup competitions.

The oldest Cup competition and magic of the F.A Cup returns to Plainmoor this weekend, with potential for sides to test themselves against teams higher up the football pyramid in the later rounds.

This Saturday 15th October sees Gary Johnson’s men head into F.A Cup action with a Fourth Qualifying Round game here at Plainmoor against National League South side Hampton & Richmond. It’s the first meeting between the two sides since they met in the 2018/19 season and United will be looking to get through to the F.A Cup First Round Proper for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Kick off is at 3pm and tickets are available to purchase online HERE or by calling into the Club Shop or phoning 01803 328666 between 10am-2pm Wednesday to Friday. Season Ticket Holders will have their seats reserved up until 5pm on Friday 14th October, and if you require assistance to your seat outside of the Club opening hours of 10am-2pm, then please email [email protected].

Prior to that on Friday 14th October the Torquay United U18s Youth team are also in F.A Cup Youth Cup action as they face Bishops Cleeve U18s in the Third Qualifying Round, and will be looking to emulate last seasons appearance in the First Round Proper. The Young Gulls reached this stage following a 3-1 win away at Falmouth in the last round. The game will take place at Buckland Athletic’s ground in Homers Heath, Kingskerswell Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1DG with the game kicking off at 7:30pm. Gates open at 6pm and entrance is £5 for adults with free entry for children Under 16. Children Under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and the Bar & Kitchen will be open from 6pm for refreshments.

Sunday 16th October completes the cup weekend when Torquay United Women start the defence of their Devon League Cup title against Exeter City, the team they beat on penalties last season to win the trophy. Kick off is at 3pm and will take place at Devon FA Headquarters in Coach Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 1EJ.
