With Gulls boss Gary Johnson confirming he will lead the Club next season, preparations for 2023/24 are already well underway.
Johnson’s tally of 105 wins in 229 games in charge already establishes him as one of the longest-serving and successful managers in Torquay United AFC’s long and proud history, and he will no doubt relish the opportunity to extend that remarkable managerial record even further next term.
Having secured the National League South title in record-breaking fashion in his first season at the helm five years ago, all attention at Plainmoor is now focused on repeating that feat, and ensuring United bounce back at the first attempt once again.
Discussions with the Club’s current playing staff have already begun, and will continue to take place during the course of the next week, as Gary outlines his plans to assemble a squad capable of earning NLS promotion next term. An announcement regarding the Club’s released list is due later this week.
