Gary Johnson has given his reaction to Monday’s Isuzu FA Trophy 3rd Round draw, after his United side were drawn to face Frome Town away.

With the Somerset-based outfit currently riding high in Southern League Division One South, and with Danny Greaves’ side having dispensed of United’s National League South rivals Worthing on penalties last weekend, Johnson knows The Gulls will face a tough test in their bid to continue their FA Trophy journey.

“It’s an interesting one, as always,” said the United boss.

“They’re in the Southern League Division One South, and Frome Town are going very well this season – they’re 4th at the moment. Wimborne are top of that league, but if Frome win their games in hand, they can go top.

“The manager has been there a few years now, and I think at this moment in time they’re a progressive Club. When a side takes on Worthing and beats them, we know they’ve got something about them.

“We know the standard, so we can’t take them lightly, and of course, we want to get through to the next round as much as they do.”

Even though the draw was regionalised into North and South sections, United’s players and supporters could still have faced a lengthy trip in Round 3, with the Gaffer thankful that the Yellow Army have been granted a relatively short trip on this occasion.

“It’s not far for our supporters to travel, and I’m sure they’ll be there in their numbers.”

Further details regarding ticketing arrangements for this fixture will be announced in due course.
