This Saturday’s home fixture will see members of the local footballing family come together, with Torquay United warmly welcoming fans from rival clubs to join us on Devon Day at Plainmoor.
Supporters of local Clubs Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City have flocked to support the Gulls since the news broke that Torquay United served its intention to appoint administrators. Both Argyle and City supporters have supported with donations, with many also attending recent home games against Aveley, Dartford and Taunton.
Everyone at Torquay United would like to extend its thanks to both Clubs and their respective fanbases for their support and generosity at this difficult time. Both the Pilgrims and Grecians have experienced similar situations to the one United is currently in.
With Plymouth Argyle being on international break, and Exeter City’s fixture away at Leyton Orient also being postponed due to international call-ups on Saturday 23rd March, both sets of fans are being warmly invited to come together and help pack out Plainmoor on what has been dubbed as ‘Devon Day’. Supporters are actively being encouraged to wear their home club colours, as all three sets of supporters come together in unison for one common cause.
Everyone at Torquay United looks forward to welcoming all supporters to Devon Day, and would like to once again thank the Yellow Army, Pilgrims and Grecians for their continued support.
