After topping their respective divisions recently, United’s U12 and U16 sides were back in JPL action on Saturday.

Victories for United’s U12 and U16 side’s over the weekend saw both age categories extend their winning streaks to six.

It was goals-galore for the U12 side who came out on top 7-1 against Somerset side Weston-super-Mare. Charlie Wise had secured his hat-trick by the 15th minute after opening the scoring in the opening minute of the game. The Young Gulls netted five times in total inside the first fifteen minutes, with Will Glanfield and Thomas Ross also adding their names to the scoresheet. Ethan Lopeman and Thomas Ross scored within a minute of each other ten minutes inside the second half, with the game eventually finishing 7-1 to United.

United’s U16 side were back on the road as they travelled to the Woodspring Stadium to take on Weston-super-Mare. It was a closely fought encounter which saw the young Gulls enter the interval 2-1 up, with goals from Farren Simons and Aidan Barrow. The home side levelled the score five minutes after the break before two goals in two minutes from Farren Simons saw him secure his hat-trick, as well as a 4-2 lead for his side. Kai Swann then added his name to the score sheet in the 79th minute, with Torquay going on to run out 5-2 victors.
