Torquay United AFC is proud to be supporting a charity in their bid for their song ‘Dance With You’ to become Number 1 in the UK Singles Chart this Christmas.
United Response, who have been supporting people with disabilities in Devon for over 30 years, came together as staff members and the people they support to form the band United In Song, with the inspirational single gaining widespread attention and praise since it debuted on YouTube last week.
People with learning and physical disabilities, autism, or requiring mental health support are able to access ROC from all across Devon, with the Torbay office being based in Hyde Road, Paignton.
With a number of devoted Gulls fans playing starring roles in their music video, including Season Ticket holder and ROC Creative member Mikey White, United are delighted to be welcoming him and other members of ROC Creative as guests for our forthcoming match against Stockport County at Plainmoor on December 11th.
The Club’s backing of United Response is the latest in a number of community-based partnerships in recent weeks, and everyone at Plainmoor is encouraging the Yellow Army to do its bit and get Dance With You climbing its way up the charts during this festive period.
Kate Conroy of ROC Creative Devon had this to say:
“The people we support at United Response who attend our ROC Creative service in Torbay had great fun making this video!
“We are delighted that TUAFC are supporting the work we do and so generously offering complimentary tickets to us – thank you so much!”
