With the Women’s Euro’s reaching the latter stages and the return of the EFL season, Boots & Laces will be on hand to provide you with all the action.

The Lionesses start the action this week on Tuesday 26th July with their Semi-Final against Sweden in the Euro’s. Having overcome Austria, Norway and Northern Ireland in the group stages, it took an Extra-Time goal from Georgia Stanway to beat Spain 2-1 in the Quarter-Final and set up this opportunity to seal a place in the Final on Sunday, where they could meet either Germany or France who play their game on Wednesday 27th July. Both Semi-Finals kick off at 20:00.

Wednesday evening also sees the Summon Bonum Support & Care Disco Night take place in Boots & Laces between 7pm-10pm, with entry only £3. A well-established and popular community initiative, this weekly event for those with support and care needs also includes a disco, karaoke and a prize raffle, ensuring an enjoyable night for all those in attendance!

The TUAFC Family Community Fun Day runs from 1pm till 7pm on Friday 29th July and takes place on the green behind the Family Stand, as the Club raises funds for a public defibrillator to be stored outside Boots & Laces, who will be on hand with refreshments on the day.

The action then continues on Friday with the return of the EFL season. It all starts with the 20:00 KO and is the Championship clash between beaten Play-Off finalists Huddersfield Town, who will be under the new management of Danny Schofield this season, and Burnley who have returned to this level following their relegation from the Premier League, and likewise have a new boss at the helm in the form of ex-Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, who will be looking to return the Clarets to the top division at the first time of asking.

If you can’t make it to United’s last pre-season game against Truro on Saturday 30th July, then why not come and watch the action in the Scottish Premiership as their season begins with Livingston taking on Rangers at 12:30. The FA Community Shield comes from Wembley at 17:00 with two teams that will likely be challenging for the Premier League title this coming season, as current Champions Manchester City face rivals and current FA Cup holders Liverpool.

Sunday 31st July starts at 12:30 with the return to Championship action for Sunderland following their promotion via the League One Play-Offs last season, as they take on Coventry City who will be looking to improve on last season’s 12th place finish and push for a Play-Off place. The Women’s Euro Final rounds off the weekend action from Wembley, as the Semi-Final winners battle it out to be crowned Champions and lift the trophy with the action getting underway at 17:00.

Boots & Laces has a variety of both soft and alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy whilst watching the action, with Torquay United AFC’s very own official brew, Bryn, available on tap, whilst the recently installed Thatchers Fusion Font offers three fruity cider options – Cloudy Lemon, Blood Orange, and Dark Berry  – for those who prefer something a little sweeter!
