With the return of the Premier league this weekend, Boots & Laces has all the live action for you this coming week.
Monday 1st August sees the action from Vicarage Road as Watford begin their return to the Championship with the visit of Sheffield United. The Hornets will be looking for an instant return to the Premier League, while the Blades will be looking to improve on their Play-Off Semi-Final defeat last season and compete for automatic promotion. Kick off is at 20:00.
Wednesday 3rd August sees the Summon Bonum Support & Care Disco Night take place in Boots & Laces between 7pm-10pm, with entry only £3. A well-established and popular community initiative, this weekly event for those with support and care needs also includes a disco, karaoke and a prize raffle, ensuring an enjoyable night for all those in attendance!
The Premier League returns on Friday 5th August when Crystal Palace take on Arsenal from Selhurst Park with kick off at 20:00. The Gunners will be looking for their new look squad to get off to a winning start, although in their way will be an Eagles side managed by former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Viera.
With Gary Johnson’s men embarking on the new National League season here at Plainmoor against Oldham Athletic on Saturday 6th August (3pm KO), you can start the day with the 12:30 game as Championship Champions Fulham face one of the Premier League title favourites Liverpool at Craven Cottage. Then at 17.30 from Goodison Park Everton will look to get off to a good start as they take on another team hoping to win the title in Chelsea.
Sunday 7th August starts at 14:00 with the first league game for new Manchester United manger Eric ten Hag as they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford, before at 16:30 we see West Ham United host reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City at the London Stadium, with the Citizens looking to get their title defence off to the best possible start.
