Player of the Season agrees new Player/Coach role.
Torquay United are delighted to announce that the club’s 2023/24 Player of the Season Dean Moxey will be extending his career at Plainmoor, after signing a new one-year deal with The Gulls.
In addition to a contract that will see Dean continue a remarkable playing career that has already amassed over 650 senior appearances, Moxey will also be ploughing the experience gained during his 20+ years as a professional into a new coaching position, which is sure to benefit TUFC even further.
After beginning his career as a trainee at Exeter City, eye-catching moves to Derby County, Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers saw Dean ply his trade at the very top of the English pyramid, whilst winning promotions from every division from the National League upwards along the way.
The news that last season’s top performer will once again be donning a United shirt next season is sure to be met with much delight amongst the Yellow Army, as Moxey sets his sights on another promotion – this time with Paul Wotton’s men.
