Torquay United Football Club is pleased to announce that midfielders Asa Hall and Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala have signed contract extensions.
Hall, 32, joined the Club is the summer has been a driving force from midfield.
“Asa’s a great signing for us with the experience and ability he brings to the team,” said Johnson of his captain.
“I know him very well through working with him at other clubs. He’s a great personality and character to have in your group, along with being a very influential player as well as person. We welcome him and I’m pleased that he’s going to be working with me for a bit longer.”
“It’s exciting times,” said Hall. “The Gaffer’s come in and everything has changed. The boys are flying so it’s a good time to be at the Club. Promotion is the target and hopefully that’s what we’re going to get.”
Lumbombo-Kalala, 20, joined the Club in mid-October 2018 and has gone on to make seventeen appearances, scoring five goals.
“I’m very pleased that Kalvin has signed a new contract. He had a contract until January and we have extended his stay,” said TUFC manager, Gary Johnson.
“He’s playing very well at the moment – he enjoys it here at Torquay and I’m very pleased to have him for a lot longer. He loves the Club and enjoys the supporters. People have taken to him very quickly and he’s going to be a top player.”
“I’m happy to sign a new deal at Torquay because I’m happy here.” said Kalvin.
“I can show everyone I am a good player – I’m better being a part of this team. I have a good relationship with everyone.”
