Torquay United AFC, in collaboration with the Torbay League Of Friends, were delighted to present Torbay Hospital with funds raised prior to Christmas, in order to boost their Covid Emergency Appeal.
Following the huge response from the Yellow Army to the Advent Calendar Raffle last December, and with the Torbay Hospital League of Friends joining forces with the Club to further swell the donation, representatives of TUAFC were delighted to be present earlier this week, as the donation was officially presented to the Hospital. Liaison Supporters Officer Dominic Mee and Disabled Liaison Supporters Officer Joanne Harris are both pictured as representatives of the Club.
This link-up with Torbay Hospital is the first of a number of events planned between the two parties, as another important partnership is forged for the benefit of the local Torbay community.
Having introduced a number of new initiatives recently, including opening up our Wollens Terrace to NHS & Care staff and supporters of the #HerGameToo campaign, the Club have also helped to raise vital funds for a number of fundraising projects throughout the course of this season via our online signed shirt raffles.
In addition to this, our link-up with groups such as Andy’s Man Club and Torbay Youth Trust has seen them benefit from the facilities on offer at our stadium, whilst also receiving the exposure required to further their worthy causes.
TUAFC is proud to promote inclusivity and diversity amongst its core community values, so if you have a local project you’d like to promote, please contact us via [email protected].
