Torquay United AFC midfielder Keelan O’Connell has left Plainmoor to join National League South side Weymouth.
Former AFC Bournemouth youngster O’Connell made 28 league appearances for The Gulls last season after joining the Club last summer, however with United having bolstered their squad with a number of new additions recently, Keelan will now be lining up for the Terras instead next term.
“Keelan O’Connell has agreed to join Weymouth on a permanent deal,” confirmed boss Gary Johnson.
“We appreciate his time that he had here at Torquay, but both myself and Keelan agreed that he needed to play regular every week to develop his game.”
This move is subject to FA and league approval.
