With the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II taking place on Monday, 19th September, TUAFC will be joining the rest of the country in paying its respects.
In addition to the tributes that preceded our last home game against Solihull Moors, the offices at Plainmoor will be closed tomorrow as a mark of respect, with our phone lines and Club Shop reopening on Tuesday, 20th September (10am – 2pm).
However, with the funeral service taking place at 11am on Monday, any members of the local community wishing to gather together to watch the service are invited to do so via the big screen at Boots & Laces, which will be open for the purpose from 10am.
Following on from the media blackout that the Club introduced last weekend in the wake of the news of Her Majesty’s passing, this measure will be reintroduced during the period in which the state funeral is taking place, with our website and social media channels remaining inactive until Tuesday morning.
The thoughts and condolences of everybody at Torquay United AFC remain with all the Royal Family at this very sad time.
