A summer of hard work continues at Plainmoor, with the hallowed turf beginning to make a welcome return to the playing surface.
Although there’s plenty of work still to do – and patience to observe – before United’s pitch is back to its usual pristine standards, here’s a few photos to illustrate how things have been progressing over the past fortnight.
All of Gary Johnson’s squad, along with the Yellow Army, are continuing to count down the days until the players make their way back onto the Club’s much-loved field of play for The Gulls’ first home pre-season friendly against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday, 18th July (7.30pm KO).
That clash with the newly-promoted Pilgrims is then swiftly followed by two more intriguing encounters, with Exeter City (Saturday 22nd July, 3pm KO) and Southampton B (Saturday 29th July, 3pm KO) both following suit with visits to Plainmoor thereafter.
