As the season nears its conclusion, the Yellow Army can now vote for their Player and Young Player of the Season.
Last year’s Player of the Season accolade was awarded to current midfielder Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, with the Young Player of the Season award going to Plymouth Argyle loan starlet Adam Randell.
During a season that has seen United go from strength to strength as the campaign has gone on, Gary Johnson’s men have produced a number of memorable performances both home and away, with the Yellow Army faced with the task of picking the individuals that impressed them most.
Manager Gary Johnson certainly doesn’t envy them.
“A very difficult decision in my opinion, as I feel there will be several candidates for what is a very nice accolade for the individual that wins.”
The 2021/22 Player of the Season award, is open to players who have featured ten or more times across the season, meanwhile the Young Player of the Season award is for those aged 23 and under as of the first game of the season (21st August 2021).
With both awards once again sponsored by Torbay Weekly, this year the Yellow Army will be able to submit their votes in both categories either online here, or alternatively via paper copy at one of the nominated voting points inside the stadium ahead of kick-off at Saturday’s home match against Maidenhead.
The awards are due to be presented after the final whistle of the Chesterfield game, however this is subject to BT Sport arrangements, who will be at Plainmoor for the televised fixture.
The full list of nominees is included below, with voting open online now, and closing at midday on Wednesday 4th May.
