Gary Johnson’s side face one final test in their pre-season preparations tomorrow, with Matt Taylor’s Exeter City the visitors.

With just eight days to go until the real action gets underway at home to Boreham Wood, Johnson’s men look in fine fettle after emerging from their five previous outings without blemish, following wins over Bideford, Buckland, Plymouth, Tiverton and Swansea U23s.

City though, will provide a stern test for The Gulls, with Taylor’s men narrowly missing out on a League Two Play-Off place on the final day of the season. Despite the summer departures of favourites like Christy Pym and Harim Boateng, the squad has been reinforced by a number of new additions. Nicky Ajose, Garry Warren, Tom Parkes and Lewis Ward are amongst the St James Park new boys, along with former Gull Alex Fisher.

Fisher will be ably assisted in attack this season by another ex-United favourite in Ryan Bowman. Following a spell with Motherwell in Scotland, Bowman took some time to regain his scoring touch in Devon, but following an excellent end-of season spell, will be looking to hit the League Two ground running.

Fans wishing to attend tomorrow’s match are reminded that entry can still be gained at the turnstiles, however with a large crowd expected, supporters are advised to arrive in plenty of time for kick-off, with gates opening at 1pm.

Ticket prices are as follows:

Adults – £10

Students / Concessions / U18s – £5
