Last weekend saw a tremendous turn-out in Boots & Laces, as Plainmoor played host to Swim Torquay’s fundraising Quiz Night.
The excellent turnout not only increased the competition in what was a lively General Knowledge quiz on Saturday evening, but it also raised valuable funds for Plainmoor Community Pool, which is located barely a stone’s throw from United’s hallowed turf.
There were some impressive scores recorded by many of teams, whilst a number of lucky individuals also had cause for celebration after winning some fantastic prizes in a Prize Raffle held during the interval!
With TUAFC enjoying an excellent partnership with Swim Torquay, TUAFC were delighted to learn that £690 had been raised during the evening, and the Club would like to thank everyone that attended for making the night such a success.
Swim Torquay are due to hold further fundraising events in future weeks, with more details to follow.
