TULFC return from AEK Boco with a clean sheet and three points after a 9-0 victory.
TULFC made an usually slow start and had to contend with a very boggy sticky pitch. The team settled after about twenty minutes and started to play some free flowing football. All of a sudden things clicked, and there were four quick goals before half time. Steph Beck scored twice with Sian Chapman and Daisy Self also scoring.
In the second half, TULFC made five substitutions allowing the squad to gain from valuable minutes on the pitch. Youngster Kasey Dickson made her full debut for the team.
Five more goals followed in the second half, two from Emma Mingo, and Daisy Self and Sian Chapman notched another goal each. An own goal saw the final score stand at 0-9.
“This was a game that highlighted some of our best and worst football we have played this season,” said TULFC coach, Justin Grinsill. “A rotated squad meant many players getting much needed game time, as it has been so hard to rotate with the squad performing so well. It’s also great to see the strikers getting on the score sheet and yet another clean sheet. Only two teams have scored against us all season’.
