In our final Retro Gulls event of 2022, United strikers Aaron Jarvis & Will Goodwin paid supporters a festive visit on Friday afternoon.

With Torquay’s in-form strike force unsurprisingly taking centre stage, our Retro Gulls made the most of the opportunity to quiz Aaron and Will on what has been a profitable few weeks for the duo in front of goal, ahead of tomorrow’s FA Trophy showdown against Chippenham Town.

Following that, our ever-popular general knowledge quiz took place, as our Retro Gulls were put through their proverbial paces, in-between a few mince pies of course!

To round things off, Annette Solomon gave a presentation on the superb work Guide Dogs provide throughout the local community, with a few special guest gaining plenty of admirers from the group!

Torquay United AFC would like to thank everyone that has made Retro Gulls such a success during 2022, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Plainmoor for our next event in January!

About Retro Gulls

With the health and wellbeing in residents aged 50 and over widely recognised as another important aspect of community care within Torbay, supporters aged 50 and over will be invited to attend events in Boots & Laces once a month, with United stars present and past due to be in attendance for each meeting.

The Club will be focused on all things Torquay United, and will provide the opportunity to get Torquay talking. These events will give our ‘Retro Gulls’ the chance to discuss the current team, and those of yesteryear, with both fellow supporters and United stars past and present.

The events will vary each month, with future activities set to include fitness sessions, skittles, programme swap-shops, quizzes, bingo, workshops and much more!

Retro Gulls will be returning in 2023, with an announcement regarding our next events to follow in due course.

In the meantime, everybody at TUAFC would like to wish all our Retro Gulls a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
