In the first part of a fantastic day of family fun at Plainmoor, Thursday morning saw Season Ticket holders witness an exclusive training session, before being given the opportunity to meet their United heroes at close-quarters.

With Gulls boss Gary Johnson behind the microphone to give the Yellow Army an extra insight into his side’s preparations ahead of the 2023/24 season, the Family Stand was a hive of activity, as the Club’s loyal Season Ticket holders watched on interest and excitement.

Following an enjoyable and entertaining training session, The Gulls’ staff and players spent time meeting some of the Club’s most devoted supporters, with plenty of fans young and old taking advantage of the situation by grabbing a few selfies and signatures, as well as discussing their hopes for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.

“Gary was very entertaining on the microphone, and it was a nice day out,” said Dennis Kallmer, who regularly travels up and down the country to watch his side.

Meanwhile, another ardent Gulls fan, Ben Canning – who watches the action with his son Dominic on the Popside – spent time discussing the season ahead with skipper Asa Hall, before having his photo taken with the Gaffer himself.

“It was really good. I’ve met some new friends! I tried to convince the Gaffer I was his new signing, and I was speaking to Asa for a while outside Boots & Laces.”

To round of what was a fantastic occasion, there was an extra reason to smile for George Crabb, who was announced as the lucky winner of a Mascot package for the opening game of the season.

Congratulations, George!

Torquay United AFC would like to thank all of the Season Ticket holders who attended today’s event for making it such a success.
