With TUAFC sharing the same home colours as the Ukrainian national team, we are inviting supporters to turn Plainmoor into a sea of yellow & blue at our home game against Bromley on Saturday.

Following the disturbing events in Ukraine recently, football has once again shown its ability to unite people together, with various clubs and national sides joining together as one in support of Ukrainian people everywhere, but particularly those based in the country at this incredibly difficult time.

Whilst Gary Johnson’s team will be fully focused on gaining three valuable points to aid their bid to climb up the National League table, supporters can show their support on the terraces by wearing United’s home colours, whilst also sending out a visible message of support to Ukrainian residents at the same time.

“We are saddened to see the unfolding conflict in Ukraine,” said United Club Chaplain Jordan Williams.

“Our hearts break for those saying goodbye to loved ones, fleeing to safer places and leaving their worlds behind them. We pray for peace for all those involved in this conflict, for a quick resolution and for families to be reunited soon.”

Any supporters who have been affected by the Ukraine conflict, and would like to access support, can contact Jordan directly via the following email address:

Torquay United AFC continues to hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and the thoughts and prayers of everybody at Plainmoor goes out to all those affected at this time.
