Torquay United AFC’s latest fundraising shirt raffle will end at 4pm today, and is your chance to support former United player Scott Corderoy.
A product of The Gulls’ youth system, Corderoy went on to enjoy notable success in local non-league circles, before briefly returning to Plainmoor to provide back-up for Kevin Nicholson’s first team during the 2015/16 campaign.
A hugely popular figure at all the clubs he has represented, the charismatic goalkeeper continued playing until recently, when he was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
In the aftermath of such a huge blow, the ‘Footballing Family’ once again came together, with a GoFundMe fundraiser sent up less than a month ago already smashing through its initial target of £1,000.
With all funds raised directly benefitting Scott and his family whilst he undergoes treatment, TUAFC is pleased to play its own part in assisting with fundraising for ‘one of our own’, with the Club launching an online raffle for a 2022/23 signed home shirt, with all proceeds being donated to the GoFundMe cause.
Please note that the raffle is done electronically, so no physical raffle ticket will be issued, you will receive an electronic receipt which will be your proof of purchase.
We’re right behind you, Scott, and looking forward to seeing you back at Plainmoor soon!
