Torquay United have signed goalkeeper Myles Bowman on work experience from Championship side, Queens Park Rangers.

Bowman, 19, joined the Rs in 2014 from Cove FC.

“We welcome Myles to our football club,” said TUFC Manager, Gary Johnson. “Myles is a young player at Queens Park Rangers and we’ve made this move because we feel that we need three goalkeepers going into the last seven games of the season because of today’s registration deadline.

“After finding out the rules and regulations of the National League, we couldn’t risk not having an extra goalkeeper on our books.

“The goalkeeper position was the only position where I felt we didn’t have enough cover in case of injury. We’ve quickly rectified the situation by signing Myles until the end of the season.”
