Torquay United is pleased to announce the signing of winger Josh McQuoid on a three-month loan deal from League Two side Luton Town.
McQuoid, 27, started his career with Bournemouth. Moves to Millwall and Burnley, followed before a return to the Cherries in 2012.
He joined Luton Town in 2015 and most recently spent a loan spell with Stevenage.
Head coach Gary Owers is expecting much from McQuoid.
“Enthusiasm, effort, and quality, hopefully,” said Owers.
“He’s been a good player over the years. In fairness to the lad he could have stayed there [at Luton] and he was getting looked after by Nathan Jones [Luton Town manager]. He was involving him in development games and in training with the first team.
“I rang him and had a chat with him. He rang me straight back and said he wanted to come, so we’re delighted to have him and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
McQuoid will wear the number 13 shirt and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s match against Macclesfield Town.
We caught up with Josh for a brief chat this afternoon and the video will be uploaded to Official TUFC TV soon.
