Torquay United Football Club is pleased to announce that Sports Therapist Dan Feasey will be heading up our medical department this season.

Dan steps up to the role after being a part of the club’s medical team for the last two years.

“I’ve been working alongside Gareth Law for the last two years and helping to take players through their rehab programmes,” said Dan. “Gareth has now left to join Plymouth Argyle, and it is a privilege to make the step up.”

“I’m ex-military having served with 59 Commando Royal Engineers for five years. I served in Afghanistan and Norway as a Fitter General. When I left there I completed a Strength and Conditioning foundation degree and worked as a Physiotherapist Technician at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton. Then I did a top-up degree in Rehabilitation in Sport and Exercise and it is there where I met Russell Cleave (TUFC Sports Therapist & Kit Manager).”

Feasey is currently preparing for the first day of training when player evaluations will take place.

“We’ll be conducting screening and injury prevention during pre-season as well as the usual player evaluations and baseline measurements.”

“It was great to work alongside Gareth Law, and learn how he approaches the job. I’m proud to be working for a professional club and my aim is to push the team on to be as successful as possible.”
