Driver Hire (Torbay) are part of the UK’s largest specialist recruiter to the transport and logistics industry, Driver Hire Nationwide.
The local office was formed early in 2021, right at the beginning of the pandemic, by Tom Williams who began as an apprentice, working out of the Plymouth office, from the age of 16. Now 23, Tom purchased the rights to the franchise for the TQ postcode at a very difficult time but has managed to go from strength to strength.

Driver Hire (Torbay) provides professional HGV and van drivers, as well as other logistical support personnel such as warehouse staff and driver’s mates, on both a full and part-time basis to local companies, within the Torbay and South Devon area.
As a recruitment agency, they supply driving and non-driving staff to their clients to cover sickness, holidays and other absences of their regular employees.
