Emperor Security has vast experience of working at a wide range of arenas, stadiums, sporting events, concerts and exhibitions, which means there are very few situations the company hasn’t had to face. Whether you are a new security user or considering a change in your current supplier, Emperor can provide you with the solution to securing your business.

After visiting Plainmoor to meet United duo Dillon De Silva and Rhys Lovett, Managing Director Lee Kinsella spoke about his background and how both Emperor Security and Emperor Academy came to be.

“Emperor Security was formed on the 9th May 2022. I came down here from London many years ago, ex-forces, I came here about four or five years ago to retire. I saw the standards could be better and I believed that I could up the standards in the local area, so I started Emperor Academy so we can train people how to do security, first aid and stewarding the way that I believe it should be done.”

“I started a security company because, to up the standards you need to be out in the ground and start to improve what’s out there already, so I started the security on that, and obviously security is all I know as well, coming from the military, bodyguard side of things, CP, and inner security,” explained Lee.

Despite still being a fairly new company, Emperor Security has expanded quickly, taking on a number of clients, including TUAFC.

“I’ve built up some really good clients, national clients – we are a national client for Stagecoach, Sanctuary Housing, but my personal favourite is Torquay United Football Club.”

“We supply stewards & security to Torquay United which is more of a privilege for me more than anything, because I believe in community, and speaking to the owners of Torquay United – they believe in community projects as well. We are looking to do something soon, which is delivering very reasonably priced courses for anybody who wants to do first aid and also the security side of things, how to treat people and to go that one step further and make sure people are safe at all times, and things are done in a professional manner,” said Lee.

Lee’s affiliation with the Club however, goes back further, with Emperor Security’s Managing Director having been a supporter of the Club as a teenager, before also going onto play semi-professionally himself prior to serving in the army.

“I used to come here back in 1996 when I would visit my Dad, as I’m from London originally, but we used to come down at weekends and attend games, I was one of those little 13, 14 year old boys running up and down. I’ve  played for Reading Football Club semi-professionally, and then I went to Wycombe where I had a serious injury. I went on trial at Torquay United before I went off into the army, served my country, come back and I’ve been in the protection agency ever since, for the last 20 odd years,” Lee explained.

The Club would like to take the opportunity to place on record its thanks to Lee and everyone at Emperor Security for their continued support.
