Ollie Tomlinson has received recognition for his form during October, with the Yellow Army voting him as the Club’s BVEC Player of the Month.
United centre-back Tomlinson has established himself as an ever-present in the United side so far this season and throughout the month of October featured in all five fixtures.
A calming presence within the United defence, the 21-year-old has shown the Yellow Army first-hand how through hard work and experience he has developed his game, with the defender being voted our latest BVEC Player of the Month.
Speaking after receiving the award and ahead of United’s 1-0 win against Bath City on Saturday, Ollie was delighted to receive the accolade.
“I’m delighted that the hard work that I’ve been putting in has come to fruition, so I’m really happy,” said Ollie.
The centre-back also reflected afterwards on Saturday’s clean sheet to begin November, with a hope to secure many more throughout the month.
“As a defender you want to getting clean sheets week in, week out – obviously you can’t do that all the time, but I thought against Bath today we were solid and it’s a good one to build on,” explained Ollie.
TUAFC would like to thank BVEC to continuing their sponsorship of the Club’s monthly player award for 2023/24, and the Club would also like to place on record its thanks to all supporters that took the time to register their votes online.
