TUCST Round-UP
TUCST coach Micky Hunt was full of praise for all of our youth teams that played in either friendlies, or the Junior Premier League at the weekend.
“All teams did really well. A special mention must go to the U8s who won 19-3, and to the U15s who were performed well in a 12-1 win,” said Micky.
“There was lots of positive feedback from the coaches on how the players played the game. They played the ‘Torquay United way’, playing through the three thirds of the pitch, playing out from the back. Overall it was a really positive weekend.”
You might have seen a host of players from Chivenor at our game on Saturday. They received a special invite on behalf of TUCST and the Club.
“We invited the players from Chivenor to come back and watch the first team play. There were around 60/70 kids from Chivenor, which was a nice little touch.”
There are more fixtures ahead for all of our age groups this coming weekend. The foundation age groups will be playing PG Academy from Wales, and the U12s upwards will be playing their JPL fixtures.
You can find out more about the JPL here.
