United’s Under-18s were victorious again on Saturday morning, as they continued their title charge with a 3-0 win at home to Wimborne.
Goals from Callum Thomas, George Collins and Ben Aldous did the damage against the visitors from Dorset, with the Young Gulls’ fourth win out of four leaving them third in the race to defend the South West Counties Youth League title they won last season, and boasting a number of games in hand over the sides above them.
One of those – second placed Yeovil Town – will provide Ryan Dickson’s side with their next test, with Torquay heading for Somerset next weekend.
