United U18s maintained their 100% record on Saturday morning, with a stunning 6-2 win at Mangotsfield.
After bowing out of the FA Youth Cup last weekend, a third win in as many league games was the perfect response by Ryan Dickson’s side, as a hat-trick from Jayden Gilbert, a brace from Ben Aldous, and another from Brandon Quinn sealed a wonderful showing from the Young Gulls.
Following the game, U18s manager Dickson saluted the workrate shown by his team.
“It was an excellent win against one of the league title contenders,” said Ryan.
“It was a ruthless performance from the team, going 3-0 up in first 20 minutes. I thought we outworked and outfought them all over the pitch. I’d like to give a special mention to our second years, who are really starting to realise the standards in physical output and mentality to potentially play men’s football.”
