Having enjoyed a successful run-out against Reading U21s last weekend, Gary Johnson’s side will be sure to face a stern test tomorrow, as they take on Championship side Bristol City in a Behind-Closed-Doors friendly.
The original plan would have seen Johnson returning to his former Club to take on City’s U21 starlets in United’s second pre-season outing, however, with the Championship side’s warm-up match with Reading recently cancelled, it will now be Nigel Pearson’s Robins regulars that will be providing a formidable test to The Gulls tomorrow.
“It’s a great test for our group, and one that win, lose, or draw will be of benefit.” said Torquay’s boss.
“We’re very happy with our pre-season programme, the boys are on schedule. There’s plenty of time to be match-ready, but I’m sure when August 5th comes around, we’ll be ready for Dover.”
The Yellow Army can keep up-to-date on tomorrow’s proceedings via regular updates on our social media channels, with the game now kicking off at the slightly earlier time of 12.30pm. A full report, and reaction, will then be available via our Official Club Website after full-time.
