Tomorrow evening at Plainmoor, Torquay United AFC will be paying its respects to those that paid the ultimate price for us all.

In addition to observing a period of silence prior to kick-off ahead of our match against Yeovil Town, all United players will be wearing special edition poppy shirts for our matches against Yeovil and Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday, 11th November. These shirts will then be auctioned off, with profits going to the Royal British Legion.

As has been stated before, as a Club, TUAFC believes that paying its respects to all those who lost their lives in battle is of the utmost importance, and we are proud to continue honouring the sacrifices of fallen, whilst also supporting the work of the Royal British Legion in helping members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families.

Our annual poppy shirt auction continues to be a popular way for supporters to own a unique piece of Club memorabilia, whilst also raising valuable funds for the Legion, with last year’s raffle once again raising hundreds of pounds for this very worthy cause.

Supporters will also be able to make personal donations to the Legion at tomorrow’s game, with representatives from the RBL accepting cash / card payments outside the ground.

Further information regarding this year’s Poppy Shirt Raffle will be announced in due course.
