TUAFC will be paying tribute to former director Harry Kerswell tomorrow, with a one-minute applause ahead of kick-off.

Torquay United AFC was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Harry last month, with Saturday’s opening home game of the season against Worthing (12/08/23 3pm KO) serving as the perfect opportunity for family, friends, colleagues and the wider Yellow Army, to pay tribute to a long-standing and devoted supporter of the Club.

Having served as a Club Director along with his wife Jill, Harry continued to support United after stepping down from the board, and was a frequent and popular visitor to the stadium on matchdays. In addition to his support from Bristow’s Bench at home games, Harry & Jill’s sponsorship of TUAFC also led to them becoming one of the founding members of our Business Members Club.

Harry’s commitment and assistance to the Club – particularly during the challenging times – will always be remembered by his many friends at Plainmoor, and he will be greatly missed by everyone at Torquay United AFC.

Tomorrow, the Club will be delighted to welcome back Harry’s wife Jill, along with other members of the Kerswell family to tomorrow’s match at Plainmoor, with his grandsons Bobby and Jamie amongst the Matchday Mascots walking out with the United team ahead of kick-off.
