Gulls celebrate a Championship winning Season and 120 years of heritage with a stunning special edition anniversary shirt
Hot on the heels of last month’s National League South title triumph, Torquay United continue the celebratory mood with the trailblazing release of a special edition 120th anniversary shirt tomorrow.
The new limited edition jersey firmly puts the club among the elite when it comes to style, with the shirt taking its cues from the club’s black and white kits of the 1930s.
Featuring a predominantly black design, a gold accent colour adds a touch of class to the club crest, Nike Swoosh, and commemorative “1899” numbering on front.
A closer look at the new minimalist version of our famous badge reveals the anniversary years on either side – 1899 on the left, 2019 on the right – while the larger numbering in what would normally be the sponsor’s spot is styled to resemble the traditional curly font seen on the classic 67-68 shirt.
