With The Bryn Consortium having reached an agreement to purchase Torquay United earlier this month, the Club would like to provide supporters with a brief update.

Although the consortium’s takeover is still subject to creditor approval, there has certainly been no lack of activity going on at Plainmoor, with the announcement that incoming Football Advisor Neil Warnock and Manager Paul Wotton will be spearheading The Gulls’ assault on the National League South next term capturing plenty of early headlines.

We know that news on Paul and Neil’s player recruitment is at the forefront of most supporter’s minds, and we appreciate your patience for a little while longer. Rest assured, lots of work is going on behind the scenes in assembling a competitive squad for next term and we will have some exciting news to share very soon.

Meanwhile, our groundsman Julian is overseeing major pitch renovation work which starts tomorrow (Tuesday) when the Inscapes team and their equipment roll into Plainmoor, which will result in Torquay United proudly hosting one of the best playing surfaces in our league once again next season.

Recently, the announcement of three scheduled pre-season friendlies against Buckland (A), Exeter (H) and Tiverton (A) generated interest amongst supporters, whilst the news of VX3 becoming United’s new kit partners culminated in almost 6,000 votes being cast for the fans’ choice on our Away Kit, prompting lively debate among the Gulls’ faithful.

We launched an online survey in order to give our wonderful supporters the chance to have their say on many aspects of TUFC’s future, and we’d like to place on record our sincere thanks to the 600+ who have taken the time to share their thoughts with us so far. The survey is still open, so if you want to be heard – you know what to do. This is YOUR football club, and we really do appreciate your feedback.

Over the course of the coming days and weeks, we are looking forward to sharing more news on not only our preparations for the forthcoming campaign, but also regarding what promises to be a bright new era for Torquay United FC.

Also in the pipeline will be further updates on our pre-season campaign, our 2024/25 home kit, and of course, our new Season Ticket arrangements. So please make sure you stay tuned to our website and social media channels this summer!

In the meantime, we’d like to thank you all once again for your continued support… exciting times are on the horizon!
