The Yellow Army have until 4pm this Thursday to get their raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to the Women’s Health Unit at Torbay Hospital in memory of Joshua Heath.

TUAFC would like to thank supporters for their support in the raffle so far, whilst also reminding supporters that they have until 4pm this Thursday, 14th October, to purchase tickets to be in with the chance of winning a signed 2021/22 home shirt.

The Women’s Health Unit of Torbay Hospital has supported United fans Mike and Kate Heath over the past year. In 2020, the couple welcomed baby Rosie, who was born at 34 weeks and spent three weeks in the Specialist Care Unit at the hospital, where she was nursed to full health. Kate fell pregnant again earlier this year, but in August, heartbreakingly, Kate delivered their son, Joshua, stillborn.

In a tough time for the family the support Kate and Mike received from the midwifery team was second to none, with the staff going above and beyond to support the family.

Mike Heath and Kate’s father, Dave Smith have started a fundraiser in memory of Joshua in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the Women’s Health Unit at Torbay Hospital. Mike and Dave are set to walk 114 miles from Lands End to Torbay Hospital, starting on 11th November, and is expected to last five days. In September, Dave also did a skydive in memory of Joshua.

The family has already raised over £4,500 and the Club is hopeful that more can be raised for such a worthy cause.

The raffle prize will be a signed 2021/22 home shirt, and tickets will be priced at £2 each. The raffle win run until 4pm on Thursday, 14th October.

Those wishing to purchase a raffle ticket can do so here.
