UNITED progressed to the next round of the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday night with an impressive 3-1 victory over Elburton Villa.

After a nervy start under the Plainmoor lights, the young Gulls began to find their passing rhythm against the physically strong visitors.

The opening goal arrived just before half-time through Zack Chalmers-Wood but Villa responded with great spirit to draw level early in the second period.

This minor setback prompted an excellent response from United and the second goal from Chalmers-Wood was all down to fantastic movement down the right-hand side to create the chance.

It was a lovely team goal and that allowed United to relax in the closing stages, with Cameron Fewings adding gloss to the victory with a well-taken third.

Untied will take on Wells City in the next round.
