Our JPL sides were back in action again this week, as they continued their impressive progress across the age groups.

Our Under-15 side travelled to Kidderminster Harriers for a tough Elite South fixture, with the Worcestershire-based side coming out on top 4-0.

With our U13s & U14s having no fixture this weekend, and in-house match between both sides provided a useful training exercise.

Our U9s meanwhile faced a tough task away to Oxford Academy. After going two goals down inside the first quarter, Torquay battled back. Goals from Thomas Ross and Charlie Wise levelled the match, and with Will Leigh fantastic in defence, United took control of the game in the final two quarters. A second strike from Thomas Ross, plus further goals from Will Glandfield, Mason Bryant, Oscar Mills, Ethan Lopeman and Man Of The Match Jamie Mitchell saw the Gulls eventually run out 8-4 victors.

The U8s also beat Oxford Academy, with goals from Jude (6), Miko (3), Alex and an own goal helping to secure an 11-8 win. They then followed this up with an equally impressive 10-4 triumph over Exeter Panthers. A hat-trick from Miko, and one from George saw our youngsters take charge early on, before the Exeter side struck twice to drag themselves back into the game. United responded with two Charlie W goals, before Charlie R tapped home to make it 7. In the third quarter, two moments of magic saw Sonny bag a brace, before he turned provider in the final quarter to set Alex up to score Torquay’s 10th.
