The FA Youth Cup returns tonight for the Torquay United U18s when they take a trip to Wells City (KO 7:45pm)
The U18s came out 3-1 winners over Elburton Villa at Plainmoor last week and will be looking to progress further.
Tonight’s match comes on the back of a couple of big wins for the U18s. The players were split into two teams and enjoyed an 8-0 win over Champions Sport on Saturday in the South West Counties Youth League and a 4-1 win over AFC Plympton on Sunday. Olaf Koszela scored a hat-trick against Champions Sport and Josh Baxter, Zac Chalmers-Wood, Alfie Edwards, Harry Ford, and Josh Parry found the net too. Cameron Fewings, Harry Ford, Cole Harford, and Ben Tolman scored against AFC Plympton.
Head of Youth Dave Hedges oversaw the U18s’ big 8-0 win.
“The boys did really, really well,” said Hedges. “After our goalkeeper made a terrific save we went up the other end and we scored. We found ourselves in the lead and we had the momentum. The game changed at that moment and it was all one way after that.”
