Saturday saw a commanding second half performance from our Under 18s, as they ran out 7-0 winners against Bath City.
A poor first half showing from Torquay saw the game level and goalless at half time, with the first 45 minutes lacking tempo and urgency against a team struggling at the foot of the table, though in fairness to Bath they started brightly, but United gave them a helping hand by making poor decisions in possession coupled with a few individual errors.
Changes were made at half time with the introduction of George Collins, Brandon Quinn, Jayden Gilbert & Harvey Field, which injected some life into the team. United quickly raced into a 3-0 lead and were now in control of the game, with a further four goals ensuring they could comfortably see the game out, and the 7-0 score saw United have seven different goal-scorer’s, including Under 16s player Jacob Wellington who played well for the full 90 minutes.
