Following the Government’s review of England’s tier system, Torquay United AFC would like to provide supporters with a reminder of the regulations regarding the attending of matches at Plainmoor.
Exiled United supporters who are currently residing in Tier 3 or 4 areas are reminded that you should avoid travelling outside your area and reduce the number of journeys you make wherever possible, and therefore cannot attend matches at Plainmoor. At this present time, travel from Tiers 3 & 4 to Tier 2 areas in order to attend a football match is not permitted.
If you live in a Tier 3 or 4 area, you must continue to follow Tier 3 / 4 rules accordingly, when you travel to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 area.
Supporters should refer to the latest UK Government restrictions, both local and national, when considering travelling between areas in different Tiers (as designated by the Government from time to time.) Further guidance is available here.
Whilst we fully appreciate that Christmas is a very important time for families and friends, and that festive matches at Plainmoor plays a large part in these celebrations, the safety of everybody at Torquay United remains the Club’s priority, and therefore nobody from a Tier 3 or 4 area will be allowed access into the stadium on matchdays whilst these restrictions remain in place.
If someone attends Plainmoor, who lives in Tiers 3 or 4, then they will be subject to a ban for the rest of the season. The safety of our players, staff, supporters and local community is paramount.
We will be continuing to provide a live streaming service for all of our home fixtures for the foreseeable future, with passes for the Yeovil Town fixture being made available for purchase shortly.
Once again, Torquay United AFC would like to place on record its sincere gratitude for the cooperation of all our supporters, as we continue to ensure that Plainmoor remains a safe and secure environment for supporters, players and officials alike, we are one Club.
Thank you, Yellow Army, for your continued support.
