Boots & Laces will be the place to be on Sunday at 5pm, as England’s Lionesses look to be crowned European Champions for the first time when they face Germany in the final of Euro 2022.
In a repeat of the 2009 final, Sarina Wiegman’s side will be looking to avenge their 6-2 defeat thirteen years ago by winning in front of a sold-out home crowd at Wembley.
Boasting a faultless record after beating Austria, Norway and Northern Ireland in the group stages before seeing off Spain 2-1 (after extra-time) in the Quarter-Final, an amazing 4-0 win against Sweden in the Semi-Final included that cheeky Alessia Russo backheel to set up this mouth watering clash. Germany, like England, also have an 100% record so far in the competition, with wins against Spain, Denmark & Finland in the group stages, before disposing of Austria at the Quarter-Final stage prior to dispatching France 2-1 in the Semi-Final. Both teams have so far only conceded one goal, though England have scored 20 goals to Germany’s 13.
