Two United stars went back to school this week, as part of Sherwell Valley Primary’s Social Action project.
With Year 5 pupils tasked with learning more about the benefits of living an eco-friendly lifestyle, Ollie Tomlinson and Finley Craske joined forces with Torquay United Community Sports Trust to pay a visit to the school and help the class find out more about this important topic.
Amid much excitement, members of the class were given the opportunity to quiz the pair on the lifestyle of a professional athlete, and gain the players’ opinions on how they would like to make their sport more sustainable.
To round off what turned out to be a lively and informative discussion, Ollie and Finley were then presented with arguably the most difficult challenge of all – choosing the best poster from a whole host of eye-catching efforts – before the class were presented with a signed shirt as a memento of the players’ visit.
Well done to all of Year 5 at Sherwell Valley Primary for all their hard work!
