Fresh from scoring a spectacular effort at Eastbourne on Tuesday evening, Brad Ash is hoping to reproduce that form as United head into back-to-back home games at Plainmoor.

Regarding his Goal of the Month – perhaps even Goal of the Season – contender, The Gulls striker appeared as delighted as anyone to see the long-range strike hit the back of the net at Priory Lane.

“It was a good bit of play, I took a little touch inside, and I had a go – I was buzzing when it went in!

“Obviously, me – on a personal view – I want to score more and I want to set more goals up, so hopefully I can get a run together now, and a run of wins, goals and assists!”

Whilst his goal in the 4-1 success at Eastbourne made it seven so far for the former Weymouth hitman, his tally of six assists does as much to confirm how much of a key role Brad has played in the Torquay side since arriving at Plainmoor in the summer.

“I’ve loved it since the moment I’ve come in.

“The Gaffer and Downesy have been great with me. I want to keep proving with goals, assists, and my work rate, that I can be a real asset.

“The atmosphere is really good, and we know we can go on a good run from now. If we get a good run together, it will look good for us.”
