Boots & Laces has all the live action for you this coming week, including the Premier League & Carabao Cup.

Monday 8th August sees the action at 20:00 from the Hawthorns as West Bromwich Albion look to get their first win of the season, when they face Watford who began their return to the Championship with a 1-0 win last week. Tuesday 9th August sees the start of the Carabao Cup with the First Round game as League Two Bradford City look to cause an upset when they face Championship side Hull City in the 19:45 game.

Wednesday 10th August sees another Carabao Cup First Round match as League One Sheffield Wednesday face newly promoted Championship side Sunderland from Hillsborough at 19:45, in a repeat of last seasons League One Play-Off Semi-Final with the Owls seeking revenge. Wednesday also sees the Summon Bonum Support & Care Disco Night take place in Boots & Laces between 7pm-10pm, with entry only £3. A well-established and popular community initiative, this weekly event for those with support and care needs also includes a disco, karaoke and a prize raffle, ensuring an enjoyable night for all those in attendance!

Friday 12th August will see two of last seasons relegated sides face each other in the Championship, as Watford face Burnley with both sides looking to be in the mix at the end of the season to get an automatic return to the Premier League, with that game kicking off at 20:00.

If you are not travelling to see Gary Johnson’s men take on FC Halifax at the Shay on Saturday 13th August (3pm KO), then why not come down to Boots & Laces for your football fill, starting at 12:30 as Aston Villa look to bounce back from their opening day defeat as they take on Everton, who like Villa also tasted defeat on the opening day. Then at 17.30 we see another two teams that didn’t win on the opening weekend as Brentford look to build on their draw at Leicester by facing Manchester United who slipped to a defeat at home to Brighton last time out.

Sunday 14th August starts at 14:00 with the first home Premier League game in 23 years for Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. as they take on a West Ham United side beaten in their opening game by Manchester City last week. To finish off the action it’s a London derby at 16:30, as Chelsea look to make it two wins from two as they take on fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who themselves will be looking to get maximum points from their first two games.

Boots & Laces has a variety of both soft and alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy whilst watching the action, with Torquay United AFC’s very own official brew, Bryn, available on tap, whilst the recently installed Thatchers Fusion Font offers three fruity cider options – Cloudy Lemon, Blood Orange, and Dark Berry  – for those who prefer something a little sweeter!
