With United travelling to take on Chippenham safe in the knowledge that their status as National League South Champions had been confirmed, one particular player seized the opportunity to create an unforgettable moment of his own, following a season to remember for all at the club.
Introduced into the action at half-time, Olaf Koszela – who had turned professional barely three weeks earlier – wasted no time in lifting the United attack, and after a string of near misses, it was The Gulls’ 17 year-old striker who rose highest to head home Ben Wynter’s inviting across to level the scores in the 67th minute.
For Olaf, and the Yellow Army, they will be hoping that it promises to be the first of many to come in a Torquay shirt.
