Torquay United Football Club is pleased to announce that the club shop, which previously had been franchised out, is back under the club’s control.

This means that every penny the Yellow Army and visitors spend in the shop goes straight to the Club. From a day to day stand point, little will change as club shop manager, Bob Jobes (left), will remain in place.

“I have spent a very happy seven years at the Club running the club shop. The Club has decided to bring it back in-house, and I am more than happy to help them run it themselves now,” said Bob.

General manager, Geoff Harrop is delighted that the club shop is back under the club’s control.

“I’m really pleased that we have taken the club shop back in-house. The timing is just perfect given our new club partnership with Pro:Direct and our new Nike kits and sportswear on sale. They have proved very popular with the Yellow Army.

“I’d like to thank Bob Jobes for running the shop for the past seven years, and equally pleased that he is staying at the Club to continue his good work, and to help us with the commercial and marketing side of the business.

“Fans now know that every penny that comes through the shop will go straight to the Club. That can only be a good thing. Getting the club shop back will help us in so many ways.”

If you have visited the club shop recently, you will have seen the fantastic face-lift the place has undergone thanks to our partnership with sports giant, Pro:Direct.

Tonight’s match against Truro (kick-off 7:30pm) would be an ideal time to come and check out the changes!
