Torquay United is pleased to announce that we have signed defender Jazzi Barnum-Bobb on loan from League Two side, Newport County.

Barnum-Bobb, 22, joins on a deal until the beginning of January. He spent part of his youth career with Watford before being signed by former Cardiff manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjær. He joined the Exiles in June 2016 after a successful loan spell from the Bluebirds.

He has notched twice for the Exiles, once against Accrington Stanley, and once against Alfreton Town in the FA Cup.

“I’ve watched him over the years and he’ll give us good options in different positions,” said Torquay United head coach, Gary Owers.

“He can play anywhere down the right side and I want competition for places in all areas of the park and he will help us do that.

“He’s come into the squad and he’ll be in contention for Saturday.”

The move is subject to receiving international clearance.

Barnum-Bobb will wear the number 16 shirt.
