TORQUAY United is pleased to announce that defender, Jordan Lee has returned to the Club on a loan deal until January from Premier League side, Bournemouth.
The Yellow Army will remember Lee, 20, fondly after he played an important part on the Club’s escape from relegation last season.
Despite starting at full-back for United, Lee flourished in an attacking right midfield role and was a shining light as United put together a run of results to take them away from the relegation zone.
A goal against Braintree, and a man of the match performance against North Ferriby United in United’s final game of the season at Plainmoor were highlights of his stay.
It is definitely a signing that Torquay United player-manager Kevin Nicholson has been eager to complete.
“It’s great to have Jordan Lee back in the building,” said Kevin.
“I’ve known he was coming back for pretty much two months now, but until he walks through the door you have to keep these things quiet.
“Jordan showed us all last season that he’s a great athlete, a great pro, and very mentally strong. He came through a tough start to like at the Club, and he finished the season as one of our best players.
“I’m sure he won’t take long to bed in again. We have a lot of new faces here, and we will soon get him up to speed.
“This signing gives us great strength in depth down both sides of the team. He will be pushing everybody else now, while trying to establish himself back in the side.”
